The way of historic data storage in MetaTraders 5 terminal is highly economical. For instance, minute timeframe quotation history for GBPUSD for the period of 10 years utilizes only about 10 Mb of HDD space. Once downloaded this history, you will be able to construct all charts for this instrument in all timeframes from M1 to MN1.

The important advantage of the new platform is the implementation of new programming language – object oriented programming language MQL5. It includes MetaEditor 5, MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, MetaQuotes Language 5 (MQL5) and client terminal MetaTrader 5 where expert advisors are executed. MQL5 has a very high speed of execution and is very close to C++ language in that parameter. In comparison to MQL4 new language is 4-20 times faster. Furthermore, new language is object-oriented, so that makes the development of even the most complex expert advisors easier and faster. MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester is a powerful instrument for any expert advisors developer. With it you can acquire expert advisor work results based on history before using it in real trading. Detailed reports on trading system allow you to test expert advisor and detect problems in it, and also to compare the expert advisor with other similar products. Furthermore, expert advisors optimization allows to define the most effective parameters of current variables and make your expert advisor maximally profitable.
